Plan the repayment as carefully as the trip
Borrowing adds interest and fees to the price of travel. For a discretionary holiday, saving, reducing the budget or postponing the trip may be a better fit. If you still wish to enquire, start with a complete travel budget and a realistic repayment plan.
Count the full trip cost
Include transport, accommodation, insurance, meals and a reserve. Do not rely on the headline airfare alone.
Keep bookings separate from approval
An enquiry is not confirmed funding. Check cancellation conditions before paying a non-refundable deposit.
Budget for life after the trip
Repayments continue when the holiday ends. Include housing, family needs and existing debts when checking affordability.
Prepare for your enquiry
Prepare your estimated travel budget, income records and current commitments. Confirm the document checklist and assessment process before making bookings that depend on the loan.
Tell us about your regular commitments as well as the amount you need. Do not enter identity-document numbers, passwords or one-time passwords in the initial enquiry form.
Understand the offer
Confirm the principal, cash received, applicable fees, interest calculation, repayment dates and total scheduled repayments. Ask about early settlement and any applicable cooling-off rights.

Your questions, answered
Can I enquire before booking?
Yes. Enquiring first helps you understand the process, but it does not guarantee approval or an amount. Avoid assuming the loan will fund a booking.
Does the loan include travel insurance?
A loan and travel insurance are separate matters. Check any insurance policy and coverage directly with the provider.
What if the trip is cancelled?
Cancellation of a trip does not automatically cancel the loan contract. Check supplier refunds and discuss any applicable loan cancellation or early-settlement terms separately.
Is a travel loan different from a personal loan?
Travel describes the purpose of the borrowing. Compare the actual written amount, rate, fees and repayment schedule rather than relying on the product label.
