Find clear answers before making a loan enquiry. Your written offer and contract set out the terms for your own loan; an online enquiry is not approval.

Applying and eligibility

Who can enquire with Moneyplus?

Singapore citizens, permanent residents and eligible Employment Pass or S Pass holders may enquire, subject to assessment. Moneyplus does not accept applications from Work Permit holders.

How much can I borrow?

Legal unsecured borrowing limits depend on annual income and residency and apply across licensed moneylenders combined. Your existing debts and repayment ability also affect assessment. Read our borrowing-limit and budget guide before choosing an amount.

What documents should I prepare?

Ask the team to confirm the checklist and date ranges for your circumstances. Identification, income and employment information, proof of address if requested and existing repayment details may be needed. Do not include passwords or identity-document numbers in the initial enquiry form.

Can the whole loan be completed online?

No. You can submit an enquiry online, but the required face-to-face verification must take place at the lender’s approved premises before a loan is granted.

Interest, fees and repayment

What should I compare in an offer?

Compare the principal, cash received after fees, interest calculation, number of repayments, due dates and total scheduled repayments. Use the same amount and term when comparing offers.

What are the legal caps?

The Registry’s borrower guidance states maximum interest of 4% per month, an approval fee of up to 10% of principal, and a late fee of up to S$60 for each month of late repayment. These are legal ceilings, not a Moneyplus quotation. Late interest and aggregate charge restrictions also apply; see the official guidance below.

Can I repay early?

Ask for the early-settlement terms before accepting. When you wish to settle, request the calculation and retain confirmation of payment and settlement.

What if I cannot make a repayment?

Contact the lender promptly to discuss your circumstances. Do not assume the due date has changed. Review your household budget and consider independent debt-support options before taking on another loan.

Borrower rights and safety

Is there a cooling-off period?

Qualifying unsecured loans, excluding business loans, disbursed from 15 September 2026 have a three-business-day cooling-off period. Reduced cancellation costs and specific repayment requirements apply. Confirm the deadline and calculation directly with the lender and check the current Registry guidance.

How do I verify Moneyplus?

Check Moneyplus Capital Pte Ltd and its website and approved business address on the official Registry list. Our website is moneyplus.com.sg and our office number is 6591 8860.

Should I pay someone to release a loan?

Do not transfer a deposit or “GST fee” to an unfamiliar caller or message sender promising a loan. Verify the request independently and read our scam advisory.
